But the merchants who are profiting from Christmas owe it to the 95% of people who celebrate it to acknowledge what day they are buying for. The media needs to stop their absurd War on Christmas and cease referring to "holiday lights" and "holiday shoppers." "Christmas" has become a taboo word among the politically-correct liberals.

The last thing I give a shit about is offending people but I also don't like to appear ignorant of the world around me either. I have Jewish friends that put up and decorate a tree every year. They top it as a joke, calling it a bris ceremony, and refer to the tree as a Hannakuh bush. Lots of my friends are heathens but they don't get offended if you say "Merry Christmas" either. I think you, and the PC fags are making more of a deal out of it than it really is.

And like I've said a million times, Christmas is a stolen holiday from the pagans Yule, which some of the carols make reference to occasionally. Christmas is a holiday that was created to convert the pagans back in the day. Notice most Christian holidays seem to be on or near pagan holidays. Most people that celebrate "Christmas" aren't really even Christian either. Personally this christmas really sucked, mostly because I'm living in a dying economy because of greedy fucking writers. Which reminds me, where's Nate at? He needs to get down here and become a scab, create some jobs for those who lost theres.

For the last few hundred years it has been an American tradition...one that's now under attack by atheists and liberals. You're right that a lot of people who celebrate Christmas are not Christians, although certainly not "most."

It wasn't even recognized for 100 years or so. It's a big deal to some people, a nice holiday for a lot of people, and nothing to a few people. It's the ONLY national holiday in December. It is celebrated by 90% of Americans, even many Jews and atheists...and there is now a war against it being waged by liberals. If merchants want the $$$$$ of Christmas shoppers, they have a responsibility to acknowledge it. If they refuse, Christmas shoppers have a right to boycott their stores.

I think the whole thing is funny. If 90% of people care so much about Christmas, etc. the how in the fuck is a small minority getting people whose bread and butter comes from that 90% to change their tune? I imagine there was same kind of shit when Easter and Christmas were stolen from the pagans too. Look what good that did them. You can't hardly find a pagan around unless you look really hard. Maybe being all Christian is really going out of fashion kind of like the polyester leisure suit.
